- Camera Data: We access your device's camera to scan restaurant bills. Images are processed to extract text and data, then stored securely.
- Location Data: We collect your location information to show restaurant locations on maps and help you discover nearby restaurants.
- Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and app usage statistics.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and improve our services
- Process and extract data from bill images using AI technology
- Display restaurant locations on maps
- Authenticate your account and maintain your profile
- Send you important updates about the App

3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may collect information:
3.1 Firebase (Google)
- Authentication: Firebase Authentication handles user login and account management.
- Firestore Database: Your restaurant data and app preferences are stored in Firebase Firestore.
- Storage: Bill images are stored in Firebase Storage.

3.2 Google Maps
- We use Google Maps to display restaurant locations and provide location-based services.

3.3 OpenAI
- We use OpenAI's Vision API to extract text and data from bill images.
- Bill images are sent to OpenAI for processing and are not stored by OpenAI.

4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is stored securely using Firebase, which employs industry-standard security measures.
- We use encryption to protect your data in transit and at rest.
- We implement access controls to ensure only authorized users can access their data.
- However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your personal information through the App
- Request a copy of your data
- Opt out of location tracking (though this may limit app functionality)
- Delete your account and associated data
5.1 Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Flisto provides the following methods to delete your account:
How to Delete Your Account:

Through the App:
- Open the Flisto app on your device
- Navigate to your Profile screen
- Tap on "Settings" or "Account Settings"
- Select "Delete Account" or "Delete My Data"
- Follow the on-screen instructions to confirm deletion

By Email Request:
- Send an email to flistoapp@gmail.com
- Include your account email address or phone number
- Request account deletion in the subject line or body
- We will process your request within 30 days
What Gets Deleted:
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account information (email, phone number, authentication credentials)
- All restaurant data and visit history
- All uploaded bill images
- Your profile information and preferences
- Location data associated with your account
Data Retention Period:
After you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (such as for tax or legal compliance purposes). Some anonymized or aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes but will not be associated with your account.
Important Notes:
- Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
- You will lose access to all your data immediately upon deletion
- If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account

6. Camera and Location Permissions
- Camera: We request camera permission to scan restaurant bills. You can deny this permission, but you will not be able to use the bill scanning feature.
- Location: We request location permission to show restaurant locations on maps. You can deny this permission, but location-based features will be limited.
- You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.
8. Children's Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
